Blame it on the Bossa Nova– Eydie Gormé

Pearl: the Atlantic City days. At first, there was just one casino, Resorts International, which opened Memorial Day weekend, May 26, 1978. Resorts was a $40 million refurbishment of the landmark Chalfonte-Haddon Hall hotel. Steve Lawrence, the entertainer (and other half of the uber-talented Eydie Gormé) threw out the first dice at the craps table. Pearl couldn’t get enough of Eydie.
