Django Rheinhardt — J’attendrai

Pearl’s familial roots were in Romania, the land of the Romani gypsies. Their music has a distinctive sound that strongly influenced bolero, jazz, and flamenco (especially cante jondo, the Spanish gypsy style of singing). The late guitarist Django Reinhardt acknowledged his Romani roots; his European-style gypsy jazz (“Jazz Manouche” or “Sinti Jazz”) is still widely practiced by the Romani people, like the unbelievable Jimmy Rosenberg.
